Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.
– “Gotham” picked up four new cast members, as the show got its Alfred, Penguin, Gordon’s GCPD boss and his fiancee. They’ll be played by Sean Pertwee, Robin Taylor, Zabryna Guevara and Erin Richards respectively, and, well, I don’t have a ton to say about that. I’m not hugely familiar with any of them, but…neat?
– Vertigo editor Mark Doyle is moving up in the ranks, as he was announced yesterday as the new Batman group editor at DC. He’ll be keeping his role as the editor of both “American Vampire” and “The Wake”, which underlines a major part of him being a great fit for the job: he clearly has a great rapport with “Batman” writer Scott Snyder. Good for Doyle, and I’m sure he’ll do a dynamite job.
– ComicsAlliance revealed the winners of their first annual readers poll and…nothing really surprising here. Good picks, readers of ComicsAlliance!
– In case you were wondering, Stephen Wacker is now the Vice President of Marvel Animation. Congrats to Wacker, and it’s well deserved!
