– Peter David is currently hospitalized after collapsing in his home earlier this week. David suffered a stroke a few years ago, and the initial reports weer unclear as to whether or not the two incidents might be related. Regardless, we wish David a speedy and complete recovery.
– An extended trailer for the CW’s new Riverdale series debuted yesterday, and the show looks darker than any Archie book since, obviously, “Afterlife with Archie.” Still looks very much like a CW show, though.
– Greg Capullo signed a new contract with DC Comics, after taking a sabbatical to work on “Reborn” with Mark Millar at Image. Congrats, Greg!
– Brian Wood will be writing “Robotech” for Titan – no artist has been announced yet.
– It looks like both Connie Nielson’s Queen Hippolyta and Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor will both return (from Wonder Woman and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, respectively) for Justice League.
– Cain may be joining Fox’s Lucifer show at some point in the future. This is nowhere near as exciting of a prospect as a Constantine appearance, which was shot down in the same piece.
– DC is going to be rolling out a series of TV commercials across various cable networks, advertising ‘Rebirth’ early next year. This seems like a logical decision, although what sort of an impact it may have on sales is unknown.
– And, finally, “Saga” #41 is delayed until January 4 due to a printing error.
