Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– The Hollywood Reporter is noting that Marvel has seemingly narrowed its potential Doctor Strange directors down to four: Mark Andrews (Brave co-writer/co-director), Nikolaj Arcel (A Royal Affair), Dean Israelite (the upcoming Welcome to Yesterday), and Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies and 50/50). While none of these seem like bad choices, I’m not familiar enough with any of their careers to feel super confident about any of them either. I trust Marvel Studios, and I’m sure they have an unique film in mind – here’s to them finding the best person for the job.
– This is really, really cool: Isaac Perlmutter, CEO of Marvel Comics, just donated $50,000,000 to the NYU Medical Center. Craziest part? He’s not the first Marvel exec to do that – former owner Ronald Perelman also donated $50,000,000 there less than a year ago. It is really nice to see that sort of generosity from the comics world.
– The Green Goblin of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been revealed. Click through if you want to see it but, I warn you, it won’t get any better than this headline from Topless Robot: “Beavis and Butt-head Had a Kid, and Named It The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Green Goblin”
– AMC has responded to Frank Darabont’s lawsuit against the network vis a vis The Walking Dead. I know you will find this shocking, but AMC called the lawsuit “baseless.”
– Blame Chad Bowers: South Carolina may cut up to $52,000 of its funding to The College of Charleston for using Alison Bechdel’s “Fun Home” as recommended reading. Why? Because it is apparently “pornographic” and “promotes a gay agenda.” Never change, SC.
– The new Godzilla poster is dope.
– Bryan Hitch has revealed more about “Real Heroes,” his new creator owned series at Image, including the name of the book’s superhero team: The Olympians.
– Ever wonder what happened to JT Krul after being the whipping boy of DC for a few years? He moved to Aspen – the company, not the city – and is about to launch the second volume of his “Jirni” series.
– And finally, inspired by a piece of art Ryan Browne created for us, you can buy a custom-made Heisenborg figure. My birth is just 3 and a half months away…
