Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– “Gotham” debuted Monday night, and its ratings were…very good for today’s era of TV, especially considering the tremendous amount of competition it was up against in the form of the also nerd friendly but already enormously popular “The Big Bang Theory.” I’m sure DVR numbers will be really friendly to the show, as will digital downloads, so this is really only part of the total story.
– It’s increasingly likely that Jeremy Renner (as Hawkeye) will be in the third Captain America film, at least according to Jeremy Renner.
– Oh hey, are you going to NYCC? You are? Be a dear and get me this awesome Batgirl #35 variant please. Please? PLEASE! I WILL PAY SHIPPING!!! *ahem* There are five others, but seriously, we’ll be best friends if you get me that Batgirl variant.
– Once upon a time, “Hip Hop Family Tree” cartoonist Ed Piskor was a Marvel Comics reject. Boing Boing has the pages they rejected, and they are magical.
– Cartoon Network is going to burn off the remaining “Beware the Batman” episodes this Saturday, running seven straight in the middle of the night in their Toonami block. It’s a hell of a way to burn off a show, but set your DVR’s if you’re a fan!
