Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

Not a good stretch for DC films, by any means. Your move, Man of Steel.
– Natalie “Tally” Nourigat, a personal favorite artist of mine and Periscope Studios member, will be providing art for It Girl and the Atomics #10 and #11 from Jamie S. Rich and Image Comics. This is Tally’s first real monthly work to my knowledge, and Rich has a nice preview of the first few pages of her work in #10. I recommend checking her work out, as she’s on my breakout creators list for 2013 and is definitely one to watch. Very talented and a great fit for that title.
– Continuing his run of very useful guides on how to break into the industry, Jim Zubkavich shares his thoughts on the importance of comic promotion, namely, a creator’s press list. It’s an excellent read for aspiring creators, and I’m not just saying that because the very generous Jim Zub called us a “larger site.” We like to think we are, but it’s always nice when people like Zub say that.
– IDW is known for their phenomenal artist’s edition collections, which reprint works on their original art board sizes. They’re masterpieces, and they’ve earned a lot of love from adoring comic fans the world over. Bleeding Cool has some insight into what’s next, as they’ll be releasing a Best of EC Comics volume, featuring the work of Al Williamson, Bernie Wrightson, Harvey Kurtzman, Johnny Craig, Frank Frazetta and more. If you’re comic art crazy, these are not to be missed.
Oh, and IN YOUR FACE FREDRIC WERTHAM!
– Rich at Bleeding Cool says Tony Lee, writer of IDW’s Doctor Who, will be writing the 18th and 19th issues of Superboy before Justin Jordan takes over. I’m going to go ahead and move on from this because I’m struggling to think of something I could care about less than Superboy’s new writer.
Besides anything involving Katana.
