Hello, and welcome to this morning’s special edition of The Rundown. Instead of just the general news we missed from the last day, today I’ll be running down the news from Emerald City Comic Con 2013. Let’s get to it!
– First up, we have the news that Vertigo editor Mark Doyle announced that the “100 Bullets” creative team (ALL of them) will be reuniting to bring us a “sort of sequel” to “100 Bullets” in the form of “Brothers Lono”. It’s a miniseries that will be coming out in June.
– From Robot 6, we have the news that Dark Horse will be publishing a hardcover of Sam Humphries’ creator owned book “Sacrifice” in the Fall. Now, where’s our hardcover of “Our Love Is Real”?
– CBR has an interview with Gail Simone to announce that she will be writing “Red Sonja” for Dynamite Entertainment this July. She’ll be working with artist Walter Giovani.
And again, from CBR, we have the announcement of “Frost” a new book from Monkeybrain Comics. Created by Bradon Jerwa and Eric Trautmann, “Frost” is the story of a CIA Operative in the Middle East, attempt to infiltrate and extract an Agency informer. There’s an interview with Jerwa and Trautmann at the CBR link and #0 of the series is available for free here.
And that seems to be it! Check back here as always for more news from Emerald City Comic Con.
