– It seems like each week I am posting a new rumor involving the lead role in Doctor Strange, but this one certainly piqued my interest: could Ethan Hawke be up for the role? Hawke is in a similar acting position as Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr. were before they took on their Marvel roles. He certainly has the charisma necessary for the role, and could be an inspired choice.

– Adrienne Palicki, aka the Diana from the failed Wonder Woman pilot is, as you know, set to debut playing Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird, on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this season. What you may not know is that Palicki claims that when she signed on for this role, one of the things discussed was the possibility of her joining the Avengers in a feature film. While she doesn’t come right out and say that is happening, it seems like the groundwork is being laid for that possibility in the future. You know, it is a smart move to have all these cheaper (no offense, Adrienne) actors debut on TV, and make the jump over to film when the big stars eventually walk away.

– Speaking of Agents, Tim DeKay, best known from White Collar, is joining the series as Grant Ward’s older brother, Senator Maynard Ward.

– Sorry, folks – “X-Factor” is ending with the upcoming issue #20. Rich Johnston speculates as to why, and then Peter David chimes in to set the record straight.

– The original art for Bryan Lee O’Malley’s “Seconds” goes on sale today. Don’t spend all the rent money, kids.

– The folks behind “Goners” are running a contest via Twitter, where they invite fans to join series artist Jorge Corona in drawing a different folklore/mythological creature each day in November. Check out the rules here, and make sure to use the hashtag #Gonetober.

– And, finally, all of our dreams are coming true: we get to play “Lego Batman 3” as Kevin Smith!
