Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– “DMZ”, Brian Wood and Ricardo Burcchielli’s well-loved Vertigo series, is going to be turned into a show by SyFy of all networks. Set to be put together by Andre and Maria Jacquemetton of “Mad Men” and David Heyman of “Gravity” fame, this adaptation is probably a ways out, but I’m a bit on the hesitant side about its home. It easily could turn out very well – after all, people love “Arrow” and it’s on the CW – but SyFy? Got my fingers crossed that it’s more on the “Battlestar Galactica” side of things.
– Comic Riffs has a brief but interesting piece on Ms. Marvel with insight from both Axel Alonso and Jeanine Schaefer a part of it. While it’s great that they’re covering it, it’s hard not to take away from the piece that it’s pretty shocking that Alonso admits Marvel doesn’t have market research (at least of the recent variety) about the demographics of their audience. How is that possible?! Granted, it’s not like they can’t combine anecdotal evidence with the eye test to come up with some general idea, but as a data driven man, that astounds me.
– Lego’s CUUSOO is crushing me lately, as now the X-Men’s X-Mansion is up for voting. Be still, my beating heart!
– Clark Gregg calls out people who aren’t a fan of Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, describing them as “losers” because they don’t appreciate the show. To which I have to say, if I’m a loser for not wanting to waste an hour every week watching that pile of festering garbage, then a loser am I!
– Speaking of, Disney CEO promised investors that the events of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will directly lead into “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and the previously mentioned pile of festering garbage “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Totally into the former, so it’s a natural fit, and I’m not surprised it’s being integrated to continue and float AoS’s ratings.
