Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.
– Rich Johnston analyzes the recent controversy surrounding events in Rick Remender’s “Captain America” run, which has culminated in the hashtag #FireRickRemender becoming prevalent and, I can’t believe I am going to say this, Rich was very balanced in his approach to showing why this idea is most certainly a foolish one.
– So apparently Justin Jordan is going to be rather busy at Boom!, with not one, not two, but three titles coming from him at the publisher.
– Antony Johnston looks at the effect a single retailer could have on the traffic to the website for his book “Umbral” at Image Comics with Chris Mitten, and it’s kind of jarring the effect a brick and mortar store could have on an online experience. Very interesting stuff.
– JK Parkin looks at the entire issue fight scene that takes place in “Moon Knight” #5, and yes, it is the best fight scene.
– Graeme McMillan talks about what he wants to see this year at San Diego Comic Con, and the answer is simple: something unexpected. Simple, but increasingly unlikely as we continue to receive news delivered in different places or during the month that builds up to it as everyone knows SDCC is a traffic jam of news stories.
