Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Because most of us have asked ourselves the question, “Wait, what is the Playstation Network?,” the powers that be behind Powers, the TV show, have released the first episode online for free. The show, based off of the Bendis/Oeming series of the same name, has had a rocky road to development, but early reviews of the first episode have been positive (full disclosure: I have not yet watched it).
– Meanwhile, over at a more recognizable online content distributor, Daredevil has added six new cast members, the character names of whom may be spoiler-ish for those trying to avoid those sort of things, so I will simply link to them here.
– Many Star Wars fans have been asking when/if we will get in-canon stories about what happened between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens; it turns out the answer is “more than you’d probably want.” 20, yes, one more than 19, books will be released between now and December filling in that very gap, which will include novels (including one written by Greg Rucka), young adult books, and some graphic novels and comics. The details are still hazy, but holy shit that’s a lot of books.
– MTV has exclusively debuted a number of “Archie” #1 covers, including some by Francesco Francavilla, Chip Zdarsky, and Fiona Staples.
– Months after the initial teaser dropped, we finally have details on “Years of Future Past,” the Secret Wars tie-in X-book. The big news is the creative team, featuring writer Marguerite Bennett and Multiversity pal/fav Mike Norton on pencils.
– In unsubstantiated DC film news, it seems that Ed Harris is being considered to play Antiphon (who?) in Suicide Squad and Chris Pine to play Hal Jordan in Justice League and Green Lantern.
– Lucifer, the DC property you keep forgetting is becoming a TV show, has cast Lauren German (Chicago Fire) as Chloe Dancer, a police officer who helps Lucifer, in the pilot.
– Speaking of DC TV, we have our first shots from the set of Supergirl, and they are pretty mundane, to tell you the truth. We also have season finale (aka crying) dates for Arrow and The Flash.
– A bit of news has dropped about two of DC’s new June books: first off, “We Are Robin,” the self-proclaimed ‘crowd sourcing Robin’ book, will feature Duke Thomas, introduced in the ‘Zero Year’ storyline of “Batman,” in the lead role. Also, if you want to know how one of the New 52’s original books is going to end, pre-“Convergence,” don’t read the “Omega Men” solicit. I’m serious.
– Greg Pak and Jonathan Coulton are reuniting to work on a children’s book. The duo previously wrote the comic “Code Monkey Save World.”
– And, finally, if you’re old and boring like me, you likely missed this SNL sketch spoofing Avengers: Age of Ultron.
