Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Dan DiDio has taken to Twitter to show the first look at the Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice costume in the wild, and it is still hard to see what color it is. It is certainly lighter in color than the Nolan-films featured.
– Colton Haynes, Roy Harper from Arrow, appears fully transformed into Arsenal for Season 3. The costume looks pretty great, and this is yet another reason why I can’t wait for the new season.
– In more DC TV news, it appears that Plastique will be one of the villains on the first season of The Flash. I’m sure someone out there will dig this news, but that’s not a big get to me.
– Simon Kinberg discusses the Fantastic Four film, and says that there won’t be any footage at San Diego Comic Con to show, which is probably good, because fans are already frothing at the mouth with anger over the half-finished film. He also, somewhat, debunks the idea of a Fantastic Four/X-Men crossover in the Fox universe.
– Over on the Sony side, The Amazing Spider-Man 3 has been delayed two additional years, back to 2018, and the Sinister Six film set for 2016.
– And, on the Marvel Studios side, it is rumored that John Boyega, one of the stars of Star Wars: Episode VII, is actively lobbying for the role of Black Panther. They also reserved May 4, 2018, formerly the Amazing Spider-Man 4 release date, for an unnamed film.
– Speaking of Marvel, The Hollywood Reporter has an incredible article about Marvel Studios’s transformation over the years.
– A ton of TV news broke via Deadline – first of all, “Five Ghosts,” by our pals Frank Barbiere and Chris Mooneyham, has been optioned for a television series by Universal Cable Productions. UCP also picked up the Rick Remender and Kieron Dwyer series “Night Mary” and an un-named Warren Ellis series, which will be produced by The Walking Dead producer Gale Anne Hurd.
– Todd McFarlane has been talking up “Spawn” lately, specifically the return of Al Simmons to the title character, and a “mystery” new creative team. He hopes to be able to announce something by end of this weekend.
– And, finally, check out Frank Quietly’s cover to “The Multiversity: Pax Americana” #1, due in November. I love Quietly, but this isn’t his best work.
