– While I gave up on Agents Of SHIELD midway through its second season, round about the episode when homeless Dale Cooper and Joey Tribbian’s sister drove a pack of knock-off supervillains around Portland in an RV, I’m thinking the buildup to the third season might just draw me back in. This is largely due to seeing Chloe Bennett finally suited up as Quake, courtesy of LA Times. Even I have to admit that she looks the part.

– Probably my favourite part of Marvel’s Daredevil was Drew Goddard’s writing in the first two episodes. I genuinely think those were two of the strongest episodes in the season and I am very glad that he will be sticking around as an Executive Producer for the second season. It’s not as hands-on a role, but I’m just glad he isn’t leaving the show completely.

– Even though it hasn’t even released yet, apparently Fox are already looking to greenlight a sequel to Deadpool. Why? Because it totally worked for The Amazing Spider-Man, right?

– Also, Simon Kinberg is certain that there’s going to be a sequel to Fantastic Four, despite the fact that it couldn’t even break $200 million at the box office. Yeah, that’ll be likely.

The Wrap has reported that Rachel McAdams will in fact star in Marvel’s Doctor Strange. While there’s still no word on who she will play (if this report is even true as there’s been no confirmation from Marvel Studios), it continues to be very likely that she’ll play Clea, Strange’s apprentice.

– Alex De Campi wrote a piece on her tumblr about her experiences working with DC on “Sensation Comics” and it’s something that you should definitely read.

– And, finally, Michael Moreci wrote on his blog about pitching in the comic book industry and how best to approach it. It’s a fascinating read for everyone interested in comics, not just those who are looking to be creators.

Alice W. Castle

Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears her, Alice W. Castle is a trans femme writing about comics. All things considered, it’s going surprisingly well. Ask her about the unproduced Superman films of 1990 - 2006. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Twitter: @alicewcastle
