Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Although not in her Wonder Woman regalia, the first picture of Gal Gadot, in costume, from the set of Batman Vs. Superman has been spotted. You can’t really tell much from this photo, but it is interesting to see that filming is underway and, therefore, may see a costume shot sooner than later.
– Because their variants are usually nothing if not missing the zeitgeist by a few months, DC has announced its August variant covers: selfies. Yup, you heard me. None have been released yet, but I, for one, can’t wait to see a crazy killer Superman doing a duck-face on the cover to “Earth 2.”
– The original art featuring the first appearance of Wolverine, drawn by Herb Trimpe, just sold at auction for 657,250! Even cooler? A “large percentage” of the proceeds will be donated to the Hero Initiative!
– It appears we are just a few days from the “Big Hero 6” trailer debut – I am seriously excited for this!
– Although rumored for some time, it appears that it is official that the next DC Animated Feature will be an Aquaman origin story.
– Simone Bianchi has prepared a Batman piece inspired by Michelangelo’s “The Creation of Adam,” with some interesting choices for who plays whom in the painting.
