Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– In a somewhat cryptic Twitter announcement, Geoff Johns announced that he and Ivan Reis – the launch team for the New 52’s “Aquaman” – would be reuniting to tell ‘Rise of the Seven Seas,’ a storyline that has been connected both to “Justice League” and “Aquaman.” Further complicating things is that the team worked on both books, and while Johns is still on “Justice League,” Cullen Bunn just recently announced his departure from “Aquaman,” and so either book seems like it could be the landing spot for the story.

– Ken Marino makes the second cast member of the original Wet Hot American Summer to have a role in the MCU, after Paul “Ant-Man” Rudd. He will be joining Agent Carter in its second season as Joseph Manfredi, the head of the Maggia crime family. Marino is an alum of The State, my personal favorite sketch comedy troupe, so this might actually get me to start watching Agent Carter again!

– I’ve had the opportunity to do a lot of amazing things as part of Multiversity – have a platform to share my opinions, interview creators, make friends, etc – but perhaps the best part of my time here has been the work we’ve done with the Hero Initiative. When you see stories like this one – about James Hudnall, writer of “Alpha Flight” among other books, getting a prosthetic leg due, in part, to Hero – it makes me so happy that they are our partner in various charity events/endeavors. Bravo, Hero, and get well soon, James!

– Emma Caufield, best known for her role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer of Anya, is joining Supergirl as DEO agent Cameron Chase.

– 5 character posters for Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuted today, and they are great. So, so great.

– I’ll put a light spoilers tag here in case someone wants to, but hasn’t yet, read “Uncanny X-Men” #600.

Still here? Good.

So, Iceman is truly gay – which, of course, makes sense since his younger version came out and, as we all know, you don’t grow out of being gay.

– And finally, this is what nightmares look like. Thanks, DC!
