Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– Greg Rucka is a writer who knows a lot about the world of comics, so when he talks about big industry things we should listen. Yesterday, he wrote something for The Hollywood Reporter about the value of Superman, and how it’s important that Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” doesn’t embrace the grit too much. One line really stood out, and it was the final one from Rucka:

“I just know that if you make a Superman movie you can’t take kids to, you’ve done something wrong.”

– I don’t know if you’re reading it, but B.P.R.D.’s world is kind of crappy right now. It’s literally Hell on Earth, and tracking all of what is going on has to be pretty damn hard. Thankfully, Scott Allie and his team (*couDANIELCHABONgh*) have prepared a map to keep track of it, and yesterday Allie shared it with the world on the internets. Apparently things are even worse than we realized, as Oceania looks like it’s really struggling. We need more stories, Team B.P.R.D.! Tell us what’s going on in Malaysia!

– Ever been curious as to what Jeff Lemire’s desk where he brings books like Sweet Tooth and the upcoming Trillium to life is like? Check it out. A totally awesome workstation, with some wicked original art and a few shots from Trillium in the mix.

– I’m not sure if you were already excited about Pacific Rim – I was kind of on the fence before – but the new trailer is certain to do that. Holy awesome robot smash! A ROBOT HITS A MONSTER WITH A DAMN OIL TANKER! Now I can’t wait to watch this movie.
