Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

Oh, and the Bleeding Cool article talks about the casting of Robert Redford as a SHIELD agent on high named Pierce.
– Newsarama has an article up in which they talk to varied creators about the recent problems with DC Editorial and their creators, wondering if this is the beginning of a trend or just a temporary flare up. While the piece is interesting (Vaneta Rogers is quite good, after all), I do have to say the creators targeted all feel like low hanging fruit. People like Ron Marz and Rob Liefeld are notable comic people, but they also have been very vocal with their issues with DC as a whole and the things that happened on their New 52 books in the past. So asking them about this subject seems like setting everything up on a tee. Now if you got Jeff Lemire saying bad things about editorial/creative relations? That would be interesting.
Of course, some creators abstained from using their names from the piece, instead being referred to as “Anonymous Creator.”
In other news, an anonymous creator wanted to add that “the Rundown is the best daily news article ever,” and “David Harper is one handsome devil.” Too kind. Too kind.
– Twitter is a place for much snark and postulation, but every once in a while they scratch the surface of something that feels pretty real. Is it possible that Chris Burnham could take over writing and art duties on Batman Incorporated after Grant Morrison leaves the book? Amongst others, Comics Alliance writer David Uzumeri and Bleeding Cool honcho Rich Johnston discussed the idea in relation to Morrison’s last issue – #12 – not earning “Final Issue” in its solicit.
In fact, when Uzumeri posited that #12 not getting that tag seemed to indicate that more was coming, asking Burnham in the process, Burnham simply responded with: “Something like that.” This will be a very interesting development to watch, as Inc. has obviously very much been Morrison’s baby.
– Finally, Kevin Wada, freelance illustrator de-luxe, took the line-up from Brian Wood and Olivier Coipel’s all female X-Men team and introduced them to high fashion. The results are, frankly, splendid. Especially his storm who feels like she’s been listening to a LOT of Janelle Monae.
