Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.
– Much to the joy of many people looking to attend the controversial con, Dragon*Con has now split with its co-founder (and noted accused child molester) Ed Kramer. Many were upset that Kramer was using revenue he earned from Dragon*Con to fuel his legal battle, and now they can rest easy as the two sides are completely separate and the remaining board of Dragon*Con have created a new company to run the con through.
– Because killing people in the movie didn’t upset people enough, apparently Superman is set to ghost someone in “Justice League” #22. In case that’s what you’re looking for from your Superman comics.
– In case you missed it during the deluge of news at Image Expo, Antony Johnston’s new Image project was revealed as “Umbral,” a new dark fantasy from Johnston and the ridiculously talented Chris Mitten (also known as the team behind “Wasteland”). This book is coming in November, and with two such talented guys involved, we’re officially putting this book on our watch list.
– Did you read “Hawkeye” #11? Did you love it? I bet you did. Want to read an article that will help you appreciate just how awesome Dave Aja’s art really is? Sure you do. Check out Atoll Comics breakdown of some cool art bits, and get wowed by its awesome just Aja did.
