Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Rejoice, fans of classic Disney comics: IDW has you covered. Starting in April, IDW will be releasing a series of Disney comics, starting with “Scrooge McDuck” #1. That comic, and presumably the other books announced, will be a mixture of reprints and new stories. The other books announced are “Mickey Mouse,” “Donald Duck,” and a continuation of the long running series “Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories.” Each of those subsequent series will launch one month apart, in the order listed.

– J. Michael Straczynski, fresh off of “Superman: Earth One” Volume 3, will be writing an adaptation of Kim Stanley Robinson’s Red Mars series for Spike TV. The linked article includes an incredible statistic: he has written or produced more than 300 episodes of television, and written over 500 comics. Jeez.

– Some of Marvel’s series that will run alongside “Secret Wars” will be branded under the ‘Last Days’ banner. Presumably, the books labeled ‘Last Days’ will deal with the end of the Marvel Universe as we know it.

– Humble Bundle and Archie have launched a new Humble Bundle, which features “Afterlife with Archie,” “The Fox,” and “Sonic/Mega Man.” The list of books is a really interesting mix of classic Archie stories, and a clear highlighting of how Archie has grown and changed over the past few years.

– John Barrowman, who charismatically creeps us all out as Malcolm Merlyn on Arrow, is lobbying to write an Arrow spin-off comic featuring Merlyn. I have no idea if Barrowman has any history with comics, but as a digital first or back up, I could dig that.

– Speaking of Arrow, two of its cast members are venturing back to Central City for The Flash: Both Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) and Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) will be popping up in the 18th episode of the series later this year. I don’t know if my TV have handle all that charming on one screen – I’ll start looking for an adapter.

– And, finally, also on the Arrow tip: instead of Ray Palmer, apparently, the Arrow producers almost had Ted Kord as this season’s secondary character. Personally, I think either could have worked, but I am more excited right now by seeing Palmer in action.
