Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.
– Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang talk their new Image book “Paper Girls”, and it’s a great interview that also reveals that Chiang used to be a Vertigo editor, which I did not know. That’s fun!
– Speaking of Image and previews, Entertainment Weekly has a preview of Skottie Young’s new series titled “I Hate Fairyland”, and it looks properly ridiculous.
– Edward James Olmos will be a new recurring character named Robert Gonzales on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” when the show returns in March, and while I don’t watch the show, putting Admiral Adama makes it infinitely more attractive. So say we all.
– Looking for a great deal on some awesome comics? Image has a new Image Firsts Humble Bundle up, and it’s an amazing deal as per usual with lots of great comics for a low price.
– The 2014 Cybils nominees have been announced, and these awards that focus on books for kids and young adults highlighted graphic novels in two different categories, and it’s hard to argue with their selections really.
