The Rundown: “Iron Man 3” Gets a New Poster, Adrian Alphona Returns (!!!), and more

– Iron Man 3 gets a new poster, this time spotlighting Jim “Rhodey” Rhodes in his Iron Patriot costume. Why Rhodes ends up as Iron Patriot instead of War Machine in this movie is uncertain, but whatever the reason, it appears to be very dramatic. Iron Man 3 drops May 3 – start lining up today!

– In far, far, far more exciting news, ADRIAN ALPHONA IS BACK! In an exclusive interview over at Comics Alliance, Sam Humphries talks about how Alphona is returning for work on Uncanny X-Force, including some amazing sounding stuff with “cowboy Bishop” in the distant future. You had me at all of those words. Check out the interview for some totally rad sketches from Alphona on how he visualizes the team.

– Ever wonder what happens when you mash up Sim City and Sin City? No? Well…you know, this video is sort of entertaining anyways, as someone does that to some level of success.

– Another day, another entry in in the ongoing Orson Scott Card/DC/Superman/LGBT society saga, as DC Comics officially responds to the backlash to the hiring over at Robot 6. It doesn’t go well.

Publisher’s Weekly has a look at the strength of DC’s New 52 in terms of holding their audience. If you know anything about comic sales, you know their hold has been tenuous at best. With the power of charts, PW reveals that it’s going even worse than we had thought of. That’s not surprising though: charts are awesome at revealing things like that.
