Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– Remember Locke & Key the TV show? Forget that noise. Now we have the new and improved Locke & Key the movie, from producers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman of Star Trek: Into Darkness fame. Universal will be bringing Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s masterpiece to life, and no word if Orci and Kurtzman will be writing it or who will be directing, but it’s a start. There are very few comics that I think absolutely SHOULD be adapted into a movie or TV show. This is one of them.
– Mary Jane Watson (Oscar nominee Shailene Woodley) has been written out of the Amazing Spider-Man 2, and is set to be recast for the third film. Marc Webb, the writer/director of the series, had nothing but glowing things to say about Woodley, but that makes no sense. If they wrote her out, that’s one thing. Recasting her? Clearly something wasn’t working.
– JH Williams III (you know, that guy) shared his cover process over at ComicsAlliance, and you know, you should check it out. That guy is good. He should cover Blondie records or something.
– Over at DC’s The Source blog, they shared designs for the new Giganta and the new (well, at least modern) Vandal Savage. Get pumped America! Giganta has been delivered to the New 52 at last!
