Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.
– “Gotham” now has its Harvey Dent (aka future Two-Face) in Nicholas D’Agosto (“Masters of Sex”), and he’ll be recurring for this season with the option to become a full out regular next season. Of course he’ll become a regular. He’s freaking Harvey Dent.
– Ed Piskor revisits his early work and childhood home in a fantastic documentary short from Pittsburgh Magazine, and you should check it out. And read everything Piskor does. He’s an awesome guy who loves cartooning as much as anyone in the game today, and you can see it in his work.
– Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo are awesome. Proof of that is how they’re pressing on DC to try and keep “Batman” at $3.99. Those guys are good people.
– This is really great: artist Cat Staggs and her partner, writer/actor Amanda Deibert, are having a baby, and Target put together a video of the couple talking about the hopes for their child. It’s a really fantastic video.
– The New York Times writes about how comic book conventions were born in New York, and it’s a cool little piece with some little factoids in there. Check it.
