– In what will surely be misunderstood by some as an attempt to get Fox-licensed characters into a Marvel Studios film, Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, is the newest member of “Uncanny Inhumans,” the Charles Soule-penned book. Marvel has made it clear that Storm is not an Inhuman, but rather an ally. He, and the rest of the team, will debut in May’s Free Comic Book Day issue.

– Via his Tumblr, Warren Ellis announced that he is working on a new project for Marvel. He also went into details as to how these projects come about after a fan asked him if he would work on “Daredevil”:

I only select my Marvel projects from the properties Marvel offer me, so I don’t really waste brain cycles thinking about what I’d like to do there. They come to me when they want me to work with them, and they make me offers from their available properties. (I’ve already selected and begun my Marvel project for this year, by the way.)

– Dan DiDio has narrated a short video hyping up/giving information about “Convergence” and, I have to say, it is effective. My only nitpick is him talking about these being “final” stories for certain timelines. Of course, he’s said a lot of stuff that has turned out to be untrue, so who knows.

– “Compass Point: West” is a new mobile game, released today, and IDW has already announced a tie-in comic, written by Tom Waltz and illustrated by Philip Murphy.

– ONI continues to kill it with their March announcements, and this one is no different: Marc Guggenheim and Justin Greenwood are bringing a new mini, “Stringers,” to the publisher. The book, described as an action/crime story, drops in August.

– And, finally, Nathan Fox did a series of illustrations for Golf Digest, and, as Comics Alliance points out, it makes you sort of want to see a full golf comic.
