Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.
– Latino Report is putting out word that Ant-Man is going to help set up Spider-Man’s involvement with the MCU. That could mean Oscorp or The Daily Bugle gets a shout-out, but I like to believe that Paul Rudd’s going to take twenty minutes out of his own film to dive into a magic pool and witness a vision of Spider-Man’s MCU origin. Then he’s going to see that Mac and Me clip twenty-three times in a row.
– Infinite Crisis, the League of Legends rip-off where players could fight as Steampunk Batman and Krypto is shutting down. Hilariously, DC Universe Online is still running despite no one thinking about it for the past three years.
– Grant Morrison is in a new music video for MIDNITEMEN, Akira the Don’s collaboration with Wade Crescent. You can watch it if you want to see Morrison waving “magic” or whatever for four minutes, or you can relive the perfection that is “NA NA NA”. If your music video doesn’t feature Grant Morrison killing the members of My Chemical Romance, get out my face.
– Kamala Khan will appear in the upcoming season of Avengers Assemble: Ultron Revolution. That’s almost cool enough to make me review Marvel’s cartoons again. Almost.
– Espionage Cosmetics has begun pre-orders for its line of “Bitch Planet” and “Sex Criminals” nail art. Order all three and you get a special Chip Zdarsky hangnail print.
– Kevin Smith said he’d like to direct a movie about The Question. He followed up this statement by saying he’d like to direct anything at this point.
