Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Kevin Smith, a few months ago, had claimed that he saw the costume to be used in Batman vs. Superman, and has commented on the public response to the picture Zack Snyder tweeted out, saying that the monochrome picture didn’t accurately depict the suit, which is actually blue and grey, and modeled after “The Dark Knight Returns.” If this is true, it will be a huge departure for film Bat-suits, which have been totally devoid of blue since Batman ’66.
– X-Men: Days of Future Past may or may not have a Stan Lee cameo, but it is set to have a Len Wein (co-creator of Wolverine) cameo, but also a Chris Claremont cameo. John Byrne, who drew the source comic, scripted by Claremont, was not offered a cameo, and says he wouldn’t have accepted it anyway, because he doesn’t like what the films have done to the characters. I guess he hates that they made them popular?
– It appears that X-Men: Apocalpyse will feature Quicksilver and, just maybe, the Scarlet Witch, too.
– Morgan Freeman’s production company has optioned the rights to “Planetoid,” Ken Garing’s Image Comic from 2012. No other details were released, but we think Freeman would make a perfect Silas!
– Image is getting into the Artist Edition game by publishing the entirety of the ‘All Out War’ arc of “The Walking Dead” this fall. The size of the book is not known yet, but with a price tag of $34.99, I’m sure it won’t be the full-sized pages being reprinted.
– Bleeding Cool is reporting that Archie announced at the Diamond Retailers Summit that they will be launching a new “Sabrina: The Teenage Witch” comic as a straight horror story in the vein of “Afterlife with Archie.”
– Will Drew Struzan, the legendary painter of movie posters, come out of retirement to paint the Star Wars: Episode VII poster?
– One of the posters that Struzan painted was for The Thing, which just so happens to be Natalie Nourigat’s movie reaction comic from yesterday, which was suggested/funded via Kickstarter by a certain member of our staff. I’ll give you a hint: his name is David and he lives in Alaska.
– Some new images from Big Hero 6 have been released, ahead of the trailer’s debut later this month.
– And, finally, who knew Editor in Chief Matt finally sold his “X-Men as kittens” concept to The Pet Collective?
