Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Craig Kyle (who I did not realize was a Marvel Senior VP of production and development) and his frequent writing partner Chris Yost will be co-writing the third “Thor” film. This is cool news, as the writing team has had some major successes in the past (New X-Men!), and Yost had previously co-written “Thor: The Dark World”. This will be Kyle’s first foray into screenwriting, but according to the Hollywood Reporter, it’s a full transition to that role for him, leaving his post at Marvel. Bold move, but something we’re pretty sure he has the chops for.

– The “Veronica Mars” duo of Rob Thomas and Diana Ruggiero are officially bringing Chris Roberson and Mike Allred’s “iZombie” to pilot for the CW. Thomas and Ruggiero are both co-writing the pilot and executive producing, and things really, truly couldn’t be much better for the potential quality of the show. Really looking forward to this.

– Want to get killed? Err…want to get killed in Terry Moore’s Rachel Rising? Well he has the contest for you, as Moore is giving away some seriously fantastic prizes in exchange for some high profile and inventive public display of Rachel Rising awesomeness. So do you want to appear in the comic and/or get some sweet swag? Check out his contest, and boost this signal folks.

– Jeff Smith tweeted an in-progress look at a Usagi Yojimbo meets Bone piece he’s creating for the upcoming Stan Sakai art auction, and you guys, this is the stuff of my dreams. Two of my faves growing up in one piece. Completely wonderful.

– The internet popular vs. real popular discussion continues, as Cameron Stewart tweeted that a print he made earned 91,000+ likes and shares on Tumblr…but he sold one print. Astounding, and obviously there are complexities that make it an unclear view of the subject, but still a very fascinating breakdown.

– Kagan McLeod did a pinup for the upcoming Volume Two of Hip Hop Family Tree from Ed Piskor, depicting the Cold Crush Brothers, and as per usual with McLeod joints, it’s my jam.

– Nick Spencer talks to CBR about one of my great comic loves, Superior Foes of Spider-Man, and it’s a quality read. You should really be buying this book, people.

– Paul Allor and Aaron Houston teased an upcoming project they’re working on out in that social media world, and it looks like a whole lot of fun.

– Just in case you always felt like Breaking Bad would have been a better children’s book, Maxime Mary has you covered with her emulation of Little Golden Books for two amazing prints of the hit show that was all about family and meth.

– Finally, Kelly Sue glamour shot everyone! Kelly Sue glamour shot!
