Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– More and more casting information is coming for the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, as it looks now that Lee Pace of Pushing Daisies and Wonderfalls fame may be getting cast as the villain of the movie. Whether he’ll be portraying The Collector or some other villain is mostly uncertain, but come on, it’s freaking Lee Pace. The guy is an epic badass and any production is lucky to have him. Can’t wait to see the classic villain he’ll be – and let’s be honest, he’ll crush it.

– In other Marvel movie news, it turns out fans of Daredevil might someday get a quality movie for the character. It seems that the rights to Daredevil have reverted back to Marvel Films, Kevin Feige told Newsarama, as many had assumed since a previous Oct. 10 deadline had passed. While this means nothing for the character coming to life in Marvel Films any time soon, it does stand as a boon for quality, as Marvel Films has frankly put out pretty much only good movies. Put this movie in their hands and I’d wager we’ll have 100% fewer playground fights.

– Could Zack Snyder follow Man of Steel with directing the Justice League movie? ScreenCrush has a story in which Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer – himself thought as a frontrunner to direct the adaptation – stated that he understands Snyder will be directing the film. While there is no confirmation as far as that being the case officially, given the buzz on Man of Steel, I’d be in no way surprised.

– As C2E2 is rapidly approaching and Bleeding Cool loves their hot rumors, Rich over there has a bevy of tasty treats, including:

1) X-Factor will be officially saying bye bye 🙁
2) Declan Shalvey will be working on an X-Book
3) Gambit is coming to an end
4) Captain Marvel will continue to survive
5) Jason Latour and Nic Klein have Marvel work coming, but not on Winter Solder NOW!
6) There’s a new Thunderbolts team coming and apparently it might be familiar to DC fans?
7) Matt Fraction + Inhumans?

So…yeah.

– Finally, can I interest you in a letter Brian Michael Bendis wrote to John Byrne for a subject from Byrne’s Next Men? It is straight up hilarious.
