Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– It was announced today that The Flash and Arrow will debut on back to back nights in October – The Flash on Tuesday, October 7, with Arrow debuting on October 8th, both at 8pm on the CW.

– In other DC TV news, today saw the release of a number of character-specific posters for various members of the cast of Gotham, and while the characters look pretty spot on, there is one curious choice: Poison Ivy, named Pamela Isley in the comics, is now named Ivy Pepper. This is pretty lame.

– Geoff Johns did a Reddit AMA, which CBR nicely recapped. Among the things he teased, the most exciting bit of news was a potential “Cyborg” or “Cyborg and the Metal Men” series. Cyborg has been the only member of the “original” New 52 Justice League without a solo series for some time now, and seeing him – especially as a minority character, which would help diversify their line – come into his own series makes a lot of sense.

– Gail Simone has a message for aspiring female creators in comics, and it is a must read.

– Dynamite Comics is doing an insane Humble Bundle of 118 digital comics, including #1s of “Red Sonja” written by Gail Simone, “Chaos” written by Tim Seeley, and “Green Hornet” written by Kevin Smith.

– And, finally, The Dissolve looks back on Man of Steel one year later, and the verdict is largely the same, if not a little sadder.
