Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– Despite Fox’s X-films getting a much needed boost from Deadpool earlier this year, it appears that Gambit is going to be delayed quite a bit. The film, originally due to open in October, is now not going to begin filming until late in 2016. In between now and then, the screenplay will be rewritten, and director Doug Liman is going to be directing The Wall for Amazon Studios. Whether this spells trouble for an already troubled production remains to be seen.
– Marvel’s ‘Dead No More’ Spider-Man story got another teaser today, featuring a trio of third-rate Spider characters, Prowler, Scarlet Spider, and Madame Web. In case you missed it, it also looks like Uncle Ben is coming back from the dead, because that seems like a great decision.
– In undoubtedly the least cynical and dark superhero pairing of the year, The Flash helped Supergirl reach 7.24 million viewers on Monday night. Let’s hope this leads to more CW/CBS love. In other Supergirl news, Season 2 promises Cadmus, which means that it might well be leading up to Superboy. This is all exciting stuff.
– Good for you, Wentworth Miller. Good for you.
– Tom King’s “Batman” sounds awesome already.
– That sound you hear is Ken Godberson III breathing heavily over the “Fullmetal Alchemist” film that’s being planned.
– Aquaman director James Wan promises a fun film, full of swashbuckling adventure and sea creatures. I don’t see how that will tonally fit in with the universe we’ve seen so far, but I’m looking forward to an attempt to make the DC films feel more like the comics, aka fun.
– Comics Alliance did a roundtable discussion about ‘Rebirth,’ and Elle Collins managed to, in one sentence, perfectly sum up my thoughts on the project: “If this was the thing that came after New 52, with no DC You in between, it would feel more like a positive step.”
– And, finally, we have a multitude on opinions on Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice on our site, from some folks – like Keith – loving it, and others – like Vince – hating it. For those that tend to fall closer to Vince’s take, this i09 FAQ is both a funny and, in this viewer’s eyes, accurate rundown of the film’s many problems.
