Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– Marcos Martin is interviewed by the DemocratandChronicle.com (what?) and talks The Private Eye. Particularly of interest are the parts where he discusses the success of the endeavor so far, including that more than half of the readership paid. That’s tremendous, and there are a lot of interesting little tidbits in there (I liked the origin of the Kodak sign showing up in the book, personally). Well worth a read.

– ComiXology’s International presence continues to grow, as they have now added French publisher Glénat, a publishing house known for The Little Prince and the recently adapted Le Bleu est une couleur chaude, aka the upcoming Blue is the Warmest Colour. With a new HQ in Paris, it’s clear that ComiXology is making a bold move into International comics, and with Glénat and Delcourt on their side, they’re well on their way to being a giant over there too.

According to a look at SDCC panels, apparently Guillermo Del Toro (Pacific Rim, Hellboy) will be guest-directing an upcoming episode of The Simpsons. Whether it’s a whole episode, a section of it, or what is uncertain (and sure to be revealed at SDCC), but that’s interesting news no less. More on that assuredly in the future.

– Brian Michael Bendis answers the question of why there aren’t any bald superheroes. The results are, predictably, awesome.
