– Mark Ruffalo is the Sundance Film Festival, and therefore he is being asked lots of Avengers related queries. First up, his reaction to the Avengers: Age of Ultron script:
“I would say that it’s better, it’s cooler, it’s more awesomer. It’s a little bit darker, but also really has Joss Whedon’s incredibly, witty and sly sense of humor. … [Bruce Banner] gets to do such great stuff.”
He also talked about the possibility of a solo-Hulk movie:
“I’m in The Avengers, but if you took my screen time it would come to about 10 minutes, along with the 12 other people I’m sharing the screen with, so my input’s kind of limited on that,” he added. “But if we get to a standalone Hulk movie, I’ll have a much better chance to do that. I’m just learning now how to find my voice and bring it into the studio world.”
– One of our favorite cartoonists out there, Box Brown, has a publishing line called “Retrofit” – and they are currently offering a subscription for all 12 books they will publish this year. For those of us that get too often stuck in the world of spandex and guns, it can be supremely satisfying to try something different – take a look at the lineup, and tell me $80 doesn’t sound like a bargain.
– According to J.J. Abrams, the script for Star Wars: Episode VII is done. An amazing rumor currently circulating is that Dame Judi Dench would be playing an older Mon Mothma in the film. Please, please, let this be true.
– “Red Sonja and Cub,” a Manga-style Red Sonja one-shot from Dynamite Comics is coming in April from Jim Zub and Jonathan Lau. It looks and sound like it could be a ton of fun.
– The first trailer for the animated Batman: Son of Batman film has been released.
– And finally, Kyle Higgins, fresh off of “Nightwing,” is prepping a second Image book, and has a new project cooking at DC as well.
