Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Artist Ming Doyle responds to a question on Tumblr and ends up giving one of the most insightful and excellent reads into what women and really any non white male creators face when working in the comic industry, and her fair and balanced take is both very, very interesting and inspiring. Give it a read.
– Matt Zoller Seitz gives advice to young TV/movie critics in the form of a list of ten, but honestly, if you are a writer, you should read that. It works for any form of writing, particularly criticism, and it has great wisdom and insight from someone who has been around for a while now. Bravo to him for sharing that.
– Andrew Garfield sounds like he’d be into one day passing the torch onto an actor to portray Miles Morales. I like that idea, and Andrew Garfield, I like you.
– Jordie Bellaire shares perspective into what it’s like working with her boyfriend Declan Shalvey. Ugh. What a drag!
– Artist Chris Pyrate has an awesome looking Kickstarter up for his book “Feral NYC”, which he describes as “WALL-E meets Homeward Bound meets PBS Nature Docs”, and I describe as totally fantastic sounding. Pyrate is a hell of a talent, with art that reminds me of a more rough and tumble lovechild of Art Adams and Geof Darrow, and getting in on this is getting in on the ground floor. Give it a look, and while I don’t often go this high, I am REALLY considering that $145 option. 11×17 multi-character jam commission plus a print edition of the comic? Be still my beating heart!
