– Now, while I have yet to see Mad Men, I do love Superman and so this first piece is very interesting to me. Over at CBR, they have a collection of tweets by Mark Waid examining a number of parallels between Don Draper and the Big Blue Boyscout himself. I think it’s a pretty interesting comparisson, even if I’m not a fan of the idea that Superman is inherently isolated. Still, this guy wrote “Superman: Birthright” so I’m pretty sure he knows what he’s talking about.

– Remember that picture of Jared Leto as The Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie? Remember those tattoos he had? Well, there have been a number of rumours floating around that those tattoos were just for promotional purposes and won’t be in the final film. We can officially put those rumours to bed as a number of set photos (a trend I hate, by the way) of a scene between Leto’s Joker and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn have confirmed that he will sport the tattoos on screen, for better or worse.

– Just as “Avengers” and “New Avengers” jumped eight months into the future in the lead up to the “Secret Wars” event, it has been announced by Marvel that upon the conclusion of “Secret Wars” the entire universe will jump forward eight months as Marvel explores the ramifications of the event on the universe? Why eight months? Probably because “One Year Later” was already taken.

– Speaking of “Secret Wars”, it looks like “Uncanny X-Men” #600 is delayed until October, after “Secret Wars” ends.

– This is cool: the next cover story for Variety shows producer Greg Berlanti alongside Grant Gustin as The Flash and Melissa Benoist as Supergirl as I’m sure the issue will be exploring his hand in getting those shows off the ground. I have no idea why Stephen Amell isn’t included, though. Seems strange to leave him out, right?

– In case you’re one of the few people who haven’t head: Mad Max: Fury Road is amazing. And if you’re one of the people who came out of Fury Road wanting more, well you’re in luck. Director George Miller officially announced that the next film in the series will be Mad Max: The Wasteland. With Fury Road continuing the trend of The Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome of using Max as a vehicle to the tell the stories of the survivors around him, I’m hoping this title is a sign that Miller will be looking to explore the world of the series in a bigger way.

– To cap things off, I want to talk about the fact that yesterday was Miracle Monday. Miracle Monday is named after the novel of the same name by Elliot S! Maggin and is celebrated on the third Monday of May. If you’ve never heard of it, check out this explanation of it over on ComicsAlliance and once you’ve done that, check out their celebration for this year’s Miracle Monday.
