– It probably shouldn’t be a surprise when Mark Waid has smart things to say about comics, but sometimes you forget. Yesterday, he shared his thoughts on the whole Saga #12 deal, taking all sides into perspective and getting down to the key details of what really happened and if anyone was really to blame for it. It’s an interesting read, and probably the definitive take on this week’s hottest comic news story.

– I don’t know if you caught this, but comics are so hot right now. Today in development news, we have the story about how Syfy and Robert Zemeckis are developing Matt Hawkins, Josh Fialkov and Top Cow’s “The Test” into a TV show. The new title looks to be “No Place” and it has quite the collection of writers and producers on it. Looks promising, and I’m happy for Hawkins and Fialkov, two super cool cats.

– Bleeding Cool has a look at the Best Retailer Practice Awards from Diamond Comics, and it’s hard not to agree with some of the amazing shops making the list. Yay Challengers!

– This ABC Family commercial makes “Batman Begins” seem disturbingly happy.
