Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Daniel Bruhl has been added to the cast of “Captain America: Civil War” in an unknown (supposedly villainous) role, which doesn’t matter because Daniel Bruhl is a beast of an actor and he makes any movie better. Seriously. The dude should have been nominated for an Oscar for “Rush”, “Good Bye Lenin!” is a spectacular film, and he made me genuinely care about a Nazi in “Inglorious Basterds”. Great call Marvel on adding another great actor to the cast. Dude’s the man.
– DC’s rolling out a Harley Quinn centric variant month because of course they are.
– Zainab Akhtar looks at Kerascoët’s art book Paper Dolls, and it really, really makes me want to buy that book. Gorgeous stuff.
– Reason #10,000,000 why we love Stephen Amell (the first 9,999,999 are his abs) is how he stands up for Grant Gustin’s Flash and kinda sorta calls out DC for their wack handling of their movie slate. I really dig this and Amell, and two thumbs up for him saying how he feels and not worrying about toeing the company line.
– AdHouse announced their upcoming slate of books, including the long awaited “Russian Olive to Red King” from Stuart and Kathryn Immonen in May. That book looks/sounds great, and if you like the Immonens in their superhero work, I recommend checking out their creator-owned jams.
– Like good comics? Well then consider pre-ordering Joelle Jones and Jamie S. Rich’s “Lady Killer” using this handy dandy form they created. It’s easy!
– ThinkAdvisor looks at how comic prices have shifted upwards exponentially as they become more and more popular in movies, escalating the value of the comics and the first appearances of the characters everyone loves from the films.
