Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– So, we’ve been wondering about how, exactly, “Secret Wars” was going to impact Marvel’s publishing line. Well, we have the answer now: 33 books will ‘end’ before the event begins. Some are not shocking at all – “Avengers” has been building to this for a very long time, but “Amazing Spider-Man” seems like a pretty shocking book to end so close to its relaunch. This event continues to puzzle me.
– Ruth Negga, aka Raina, aka the girl in the flower dress from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., has joined the upcoming AMC Preacher pilot as Tulip, the female lead. Negga, visually, is quite a change from the comic character, who was depicted a blonde, Caucasian woman. Negga has some serious acting chops, and offers an intriguing start to the casting of the series, produced by Seth Rogen.
– Congratulations to former DC editor Ricky Purdin, who accepted a position as talent manager at Marvel. One can only presume that he wanted to stay in New York, and with DC’s move happening any day now, this sort of news story is going to get more and more common.
– File this under badass: IDW is collecting Tom Scioli’s “American Barbarian” with new backmatter, including a new forward by Rob Liefeld.
– In an unsurprising and uninspiring turn of events, “Age of Apocalypse” joins the “Secret Wars” lineup, from Fabian Nicieza and Gerardo Sandoval.
– And, finally, if you’ve always wanted a house with a Spider-Man statue, you’re in luck, because Stan Lee is selling his.
