– While it was presumed for some time now, today we got confirmation that Marvel’s Netflix TV series, featuring Daredevil, Luke Cage, and others, are in fact part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and, therefore, can potentially cross over, in some fashion, with the Avengers line and the associated spinoffs. This, again, is hardly a surprise, but yet another sign that Marvel is taking its live action world building quite seriously.

– Yesterday, the news broke that Justice League would officially be the third Superman-starring film for the Zach Synder-helmed DC film franchise. Today, a report was released claiming that there are nine (9) films DC has in “active development.” Counting the Man of Steel sequel and Justice League, the article names The Metal Men, Shazam, 100 Bullets, and Fables as potential films, as well as the Joseph Gordon Levitt-produced Sandman film. What are the final two? Let’s just all cross our fingers and say “New Gods” over and over again, mmmkay?

– Also in adaptation news: IDW will be partnering with Xbox Entertainment to bring a television adaptation of Chuck Dixon and Jorge Zaffino’s “Winterworld” to their platform.

What does Geoff Johns do all day?

– Many of us who have read the original “Miracleman” run have wondered what Marvel would do with the infamous ninth issue. Polybag it, sir!

– Tom Pinchuk and Jan Wijngaard are bringing Disney XD’s “Max Steel” to a line of original graphic novels later this year.

– Remember all the hubbub about Stan Lee not doing a Guardians of the Galaxy cameo? Well, rest your little heads, kids, it’s not true!

– Hope you guys didn’t get too excited over that Mike Mignola “Rocket Raccoon” variant, because it isn’t, and never was, happening.

– And, finally, let me ask Joe Quesada a question: “Who was the hero of Man of Steel ZOD?
