Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.
– How “Man of Steel” should have ended. I actually really love this and really kind of wish this was how the movie ended. SPACE DAD!
– What would a trailer that honestly advertised “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” look like? Ummm…we now know. And it is hilarious. Who remembered that movie was so damn shouty? Also, Matt Meylikhov started this website to review that movie. TRUE STORY. That was your honest trailer of “Multiversity Origins: Multiversity.”
– Are you into staying on top of the best comic critics outside of Multiversity? Well, Comics Bulletin made a list and…I can say it is a list. It definitely doesn’t feature any of us, which I find disturbing indeed. More disturbing is the lack of representation of people like Chris Arrant and Tom Spurgeon, but still, have you read Matt’s MGA Study Hall’s? That guy is great!
– Howard Chaykin is returning to The Shadow, a character he has some history with, in a mini-series he’ll be both writing and illustrating. It’s set to be released by Dynamite Entertainment, who I have to say is really, really on fire with the announcements lately.
– Speaking of Dynamite, Duane Swierczynski’s “Ex-Con” is joining their crime line. EN. FUEGO. This Tim Bradstreet covered series joins Garth Ennis and Craig Cermak’s “Red Team” and Andy Diggle and Aaron Campbell’s “Uncanny” on the Crime Line.
