Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Jim McCann and Janet K. Lee have acquired the rights of their “Dapper Men” series from Archaia Entertainment after having released their very popular and well-received first volume at the publisher in 2010. It seems like it has been in the works for a while and extremely amicable overall, but I’m curious as to what triggered the switch and where exactly the sequel in the planned trilogy, titled “Time of the Dapper Men” is. I remember at NYCC in 2012, Lee mentioned that it was coming along nicely, and it was featured in Archaia’s 2012 Free Comic Book Day offering, but since then I’ve heard next to nothing. Ultimately, we’ll probably hear nothing more, but I’m glad both sides seem to be at least splitting with no anger on the sides, especially because they’re both cool as hell.

Hopefully Dapper Men finds a good home soon, and we can continue the adventure with McCann and Lee.

– Rather than doing lists or anything like that, Tom Spurgeon over at Comics Reporter is releasing 100 Comics Positives for 2013, and I’m loving every bit of it, from the continued love for Bill Watterson to Fiona Staples ascent to true superstar. Well worth a read, as Spurgeon’s stuff tends to be.

– Vaneta Rogers, the shining light in Newsarama’s dwindling empire, talks to retailers about the comeback retailers have continued to see in 2013. As someone with a whole lot of interest in the world of retail, I found this to be an interesting read.

Graphic: Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman and Grant Morrison’s evolution throughout the years. Mostly in varieties of hair.

– This is hardly a specific link, but Robot 6 has been doing their annual takeover of CBR for the past couple days at the turn of the year, and this time they’re celebrating their 5th anniversary with some astoundingly great content. Check it out, and bravo to the R6 team. Truly one of the shining lights on the comics internet, and one of the only sites I actually read.

– Humberto Ramos is working on a new short story with Brian Augustyn for their creator-owned project “Out There.”
