Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– “The Road” actor Kodi Smit-McPhee has been cast as the young version of Nightcrawler in the upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse.” The kid’s a pretty good actor, so it’s probably a good casting. One has to wonder if the cast is getting too full like the “Days of Future Past” one did (leading to actors and characters getting cut), but I guess it’s not that bad of a problem to have.
– Vulture has a nice piece on how Harley Quinn became the superhero’s world’s most successful woman, which is completely correct. Somehow she’s become the real third member of DC’s Trinity, supplanting Wonder Woman, even though most everyone would not be pleased to hear or think that.
– Rogue Ales is putting together a special edition beer for Hellboy’s 21st anniversary, and I’m happy to report it’s called the “Right Hand of Doom Red Ale”. Perfect, even though red ales are disgusting and the beer equivalent of the Ogdru Hem. It will be debuting at an event at Portland retailer Things From Another World on February 20th.
– The Daily Pennsylvanian has a nice little feature on Penn alum and comic book writer Charles Soule.
– Jim Starlin’s “Dreadstar” is being developed into a TV show, which is neat but really, really underlines how everything is being considered by TV networks and movie studios from comics.
