Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Could this image Bendis shared by Joe Quinones be the Utopians/X-Men book Rich Johnston has been teasing? Maybe. What a weird, weird team though. With Pixie, Spiral, Colossus, Marrow, Adam-X (The Extreme) and a bevy of other oddballs, I genuinely have no idea who the audience for that book would be, but it’d sure be weird.
– Want to back a pretty rad looking Kickstarter project? Forged Lord Comics is attempting to bring Christopher Moeller’s “Iron Empires” comic back to life with new printings of his old Dark Horse stories, and they could use your help. Take a look and consider supporting it, as it looks like pretty fantastic sci-fi with beautiful art.
– With Chris Pratt hosting Saturday Night Live this past weekend, it was natural to assume that they’d tackle something Marvel/Guardians of the Galaxy related, and sure enough, that’s what they did. In a sketch called “Marvel’s Coming Attractions“, SNL walked through what’s coming next for the impossibly successful film production house, and the results are pretty great.
– Speaking of, “Guardians of the Galaxy” has now surpassed the first “Iron Man” movie in domestic box office.
– Apparently the first “Avengers: Age of Ultron” trailer will run before “Interstellar”, so if you needed any more reason to see a new Christopher Nolan movie, there it is.
– At Rose City Comic Con, Dennis Hopeless shared that there are no plans for him to tackle the “Avengers Arena” gang again, which makes me the sad.
