Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.
– In case you’re into this sort of thing, Mark Ruffalo said that Marvel is now “entertaining” the idea of doing another solo Hulk film. Third time’s the charm, right?
– HeroesCon posted their harassment policy, and it’s going to make a lot of people happy. And I don’t mean the harassers.
– Rumor has it that Darkseid will be the villain in the “Justice League” movie, which is neat, except that’s not coming out for three years. But whatevs, still cool. It will be interesting to see who they cast, and I have to imagine they’ll have to just make them a voice actor. Here’s hoping they go off the wall and use Hobo Darkseid instead of “Darkseid is…” Darkseid. We all know nothing strikes fear into heroes more than a god from Apokalips living in a dumpster behind a Baby Gap.
– I’ve been really enjoying these “The Retailer’s View” articles over at The Beat, and this week, they talk about event comics and ordering abuse. Worth a read if you are interested in that side of the business.
– Archaia’s going to launch a Jim Henson’s The Storyteller: Witches mini-series, and it has some really beautiful work from the looks of it. It’s not surprising with people like Jeff Stokely and Matthew Dow Smith involved, but man, that is an attractive project.
– Yeesh! As if NYCC and ReedPop didn’t have enough of a bad reputation with cosplayers and weird harassment issues, now apparently the people who run the show themselves are getting into the mix.
– Oh hey, SPX’s line-up is out thanks to a cool little poster from John Porcellino. I like it!
