– According to USA Today, in an interview with series writer Josh Dysart, that one of the main cast of “Harbinger” will die in the upcoming three-part “Death of a Renegade” that starts with issue #22. As the article says, this will be the first prominent death since the relaunch of the universe in 2012. Very interesting!
– Congrats to Aaron Kuder! Yesterday’s DC solicits for April reveal that he’s writing Superboy #30, and according to him on Twitter, this isn’t just a one-shot! He might be around for a bit. Great news for one of our fave creators!
– Jesse L. Martin has been added to the upcoming pilot for “The Flash” as a “Detective West”. While nothing was actually revealed about the role, it’s hard to not imagine that this is in somehow connected to Wally West. That said, I have no idea what it really means, but I do know Martin is a pretty kick ass actor and will bring a lot to the show.
– Paste Magazine names its 10 most anticipated comics of 2014, and it’s a good list, filled with potential graphic novel delights like Box Brown’s upcoming Andre the Giant bio comic, superhero fare like Warren Ellis, Declan Shalvey and Jordie Bellaire’s Moon Knight, and tomorrow’s fantastic Deadly Class. Well worth a look.
– This map Bleeding Cool shares of ComiXology’s usage across the world is pretty damn awesome, especially for the North Korea related comments.
– Comic journalist Kelly Thompson opened a Kickstarter for a deluxe version of a novel she’s working on, titled “Storykiller”, and it is set to include art from very talented comic folk like Declan Shalvey & Jordie Bellaire, Stephanie Hans, Ming Doyle, Dustin Nguyen and more. Very cool.
– Brian Michael Bendis’ upcoming book on the craft of comics, titled “Words for Pictures: The Art and Business of Writing Comics and Graphic Novels”, is now up for pre-order on Amazon.
– I’ve never seen this before, but this Star Wars poster from Katie Cook is completely fantastic. And it can be yours if you buy it through ThinkGeek!
