Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.
– Maureen Ryan, aka Mo Ryan, is one of the best TV critics in all the land for Huffington Post, and she tweeted the above yesterday, which led to…
As you can see, she cosplayed as one of Hawkguy’s bro Russian gangsters, and the results are nothing short of spectacular. More cool people should cosplay, I say!
– Harrison Ford, who is playing Colonel Graff in the upcoming “Ender’s Game” film, was confronted with questions about Orson Scott Card’s anti gay marriage stance and response? A resounding “meh” effectively, stating that this belief does not impact the film. My take? Kind of hard to disagree. Boycott it if you want, but “Ender’s Game” about as much to do with gay marriage as “Battleship” does to do with dental hygiene in Equitorial New Guineau.
– In case you were wondering whether or not “Family Guy” or “The Simpsons” were running on fumes, next year, The Griffins will go on a road trip to Springfield and meet the Simpsons in an episode called – you guessed it – “The Simpsons Guy.” I hope that’s proper amounts of animation domination for you.
– In case you didn’t know it, brothers Bobby and Peter Timony are awesome at comics. Their Zuda book “Night Owls” is perfect proof of that. Now, they have a new book coming from Monkeybrain called “Detectobot,” and Robot 6 has an interview about it. Don’t believe me that they are awesome at comic? Check out a prologue for their new book for free on ComiXology!
