Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– While the DC films that have been getting the most press are Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Wonder Woman, many fans are most excited about the prospect of seeing Sandman, from director Joseph Gordon-Levitt, hit the big screen. Well, add another reason to get excited about that film: according to executive producer David S. Goyer, Neil Gaiman is a “vital” part of the team. He told Deadline:

“I hesitate to definitively say when it might go before the cameras, but the one thing different between other iterations and ours is that Neil Gaiman has been in the room with us and is a vital part of the team,” Goyer said. “We have a draft Warners is very happy with and we’re moving forward, knock on wood.”

– Meanwhile, on the Marvel side of the comics to film business, the Daily Mail is reporting that many of the cast members of Avengers: Age of Ultron are expected to be back in London for re-shoots in January. Of even more noteworthiness is the reveal, in the same article, that both parts of Avengers: The Infinity War, will shoot back to back in 2015, well ahead of Part One’s 2018 release date.

Suicide Squad has also found its shooting location and timeframe: Toronto, mid-April to September. The film will be produced under the working title ‘Bravo 14’ and will begin pre-production in February. The Hollywood Reporter also claims that Tom Hardy, Jai Courtney, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto are all close to signing on for the film.

– Sorry, OG Nova fans – James Gunn wants Starlord to be the only human in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, so no Richard Rider just yet.

– Robert Kirkman was on Talking Dead last night, because of course he was, and he delivered concrete proof that Daryl Dixon is, in fact, heterosexual. Why this needed to be said aloud is up for debate, but at least all the Carol/Daryl ‘shippers can rest their weary heads tonight. He also teased a gay character joining the cast when the show returns in February, and the internet is all but guaranteeing that it is Aaron. We’ll see in a few months.

– A new “Army of Darkness” series kicks off on Wednesday from Cullen Bunn and Larry Watts, and you can see the first ten pages over at Bleeding Cool.

– And, finally, Wyld Stallions? Excellent!
