– Resident Spooky Ghost Man, Guillermo Del Toro, will work on an animated series called Trollhunters with Netflix and Dreamworks, per this report fromVariety. Hopefully it’s just a bunch of concepts from meant for Silent Hills he’ll just slap together for this one show for kids. Also, Netflix will produce a revived Voltron series. I’ve genuinely got nothing for that.
– Fargo star Rachel Keller has been cast in FX’s upcoming Legion series, according to Deadline. There haven’t been many details yet on the series, which will follow David Haller, Professor X’s son in the comics who suffers from schizophrenia and will reportedly escape some institution with Keller’s help in the upcoming pilot. There’s no word yet on who exactly Keller will be playing, but there’s been reports of her powers being touch-based so she’ll either be playing Rogue or the bottom half of a Nintendo DS.
– Gene Roddenberry’s family found two hundred floppy disks filled with the late Star Trek creator’s notes and I can guarantee they’re all going to end up being save passwords from old DOS video games.
– Zack Snyder told The Lowdown that the villain of the upcoming Justice League will involve the team fighting some major threat. Like the Royal Flush Gang or something.
– The AV Club announced that the sixth season of The Venture Bros will premiere later this month, on January 31st. With this and Lucha Underground in the same week, 2016 is shaping up to be a genuinely amazing year in nerd culture.
