– The second Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer got released today, and while there are a few surprising images – who is that disrobing? – it more or less looks like a more dour version of the first trailer. Between the music and the lack of light-hearted moments, the movie, tone-wise, looks more like Man of Steel than any other Marvel Studios release. That’s not a good thing, ladies and gentlemen. Check it out at Newsarama.

– According to Entertainment Weekly, CBS’s Supergirl show will be a number of things: a crime procedural (?!), a show in the Arrow/Flash universe, and the home of an “awesome costume.” The producers have been saying the right things, citing the need for a feminist superhero on television, and that they still have not found, and refuse to settle for anyone other than, the right actress.

– We somehow missed this over the weekend, but Axel Alonso has confirmed that Marvel is working on a “Dr. Strange” ongoing series. It’s about damn time!

Topless Robot makes a pretty compelling case for Marvel to bring in Selma director Ava DuVernay as a director for an upcoming Thor or Iron Man film.

– Could The Atom be the next CW superhero show? Be still my heart!

– Newsarama takes a look about what we know about ‘Darkseid War,’ the upcoming “Justice League” storyline, set to debut after “Convergence.”

– IDW is set to publish some Thrillbent titles in print, including Mark Waid and Barry Kitson’s “Empire” OGN and its new monthly sequel.

– Next month, Valiant will be publishing “Imperium Prelude” in all non-prestige titles, from Doug Braithwaite and Joshua Dysart.

– Greg Pak lets all the fans of “Storm” know the good news: the book is not in immediate danger of cancellation.

– And, finally, check out this incredible “Hellboy” cover, done for the Hero Initiative 100 Project, by Jim Valentino, inked by his son Aaron!
