– The third trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron dropped yesterday, and it gave the most complete idea of the plot thus far, as well as debuting the first look at the live-action Vision, even if it is a close up for just a second or two.

– The pilot of Supergirl is officially in production. The pilot is considered a near-lock to be picked up, and will be directed by Glen Winter, who has directed episodes of Smallville, Arrow, and The Flash.

– Many of the “Secret Wars” series have been lackluster, at best, but this is different: Gerry Duggan and Evan “Doc” Shaner are bringing “1872” to Marvel, which will re-imagine characters like Captain America, Iron Man, and the Hulk as Western characters. Duggan intimates that this is not a limited series, either, mentioning “the first arc.” Consider me excited.

– Do you hate your ass? Do you like bedsores? Well, then AMC’s Ultimate Marvel Marathon is for you! Luckily, there are at least built in nap breaks in the second, third, and seventh spots during this 24 hour + event.

– “The Multiversity Director’s Cut” #1 has shifted its focus from the first, stage setting, issue of the series, drawn by Ivan Reis, to the “Pax Americana” issue, drawn by Frank Quietly.

– The directors of Captain America: The Winter Solider, the Russo Brothers, have signed a deal with Sony Pictures. This could potentially be big news, as this may negatively impact their ability to do more Marvel films, and the Russos have been considered front runners for Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

– File this under “useless award nominations,” but Guardians of the Galaxy leads the MTV Movie Awards Nominations with seven.

– John Barrowman, aka Malcolm Merlyn on Arrow will reportedly star in and produce an adaptation of “The 49th Key,” a story in “Heavy Metal,” by writer Erika Lewis and artist J.K. Woodward, that was just released today. Clearly, Barrowman isn’t wasting any time.

CSI‘s Lina Esco has joined the pilot of Lucifer as Maze.

– Hey, look! It’s a live action Battle Cat from the upcoming He-Man film.

– And, finally, these Wes Anderson parodies seem to be running their course, but this X-Men one is pretty perfect.
