Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david.h@multiversitycomics.com.
– One day I’m going to stop talking about Man Of Steel, but today is not that day. Tomorrow doesn’t look likely either. Remember that message from Zod and the countdown? It was leading to this new trailer and let me tell you, it looks stunning. I don’t care if you like Superman or not (which you should), but this is going be a great film. And if I hear one more “Superman is boring” joke after this film, I will start punching people into the stratosphere.
– More comic book movie news as Deadline are reporting that Michael Rooker, Merle in The Walking Dead, has joined the cast of Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy as Yondu, one of the original founding members of the team. What’s interesting to me about this is that the original team is such a comic book-y concept (they’re from an alternate timeline in the 31st century) that I want to see how they may or may not incorporate the original Guardians. We’ll see.
– And lastly, we have our first look at Jamie Foxx in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. You’ve probably already seen and if you still don’t to see it, don’t click. But for those who have: thoughts?
