Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– Mashable revealed that Marvel will be publishing a new comic based on the Red Wolf character from writer Nathan Edmondson and artist Jeffrey Veregge on covers and Dalibor Talajić on interiors. A lot of noise has come out of this announcement commending Marvel for giving a spotlight to a Native American character with a Native American artist in Veregge. And even more noise has come out criticizng the choice of Edmondson as the book’s writer and the character’s seemingly outdated look. This could all well change when the comic comes out and turns out to be exciting and sensible, but in the meantime we’re just going to drop off this list of Aboriginal Comics You Should Be Reading from Panels.
– Hope you like superhero television. Because I kind of don’t. So I have no idea what’s going on in any of these trailers. This Agents of SHIELD teaser references something called “Secret Warriors” which everyone knows is a Multiversity Comics column. And this Arrow trailer doesn’t even acknowledge Oliver Queen’s fight with Stardust at Summerslam. Ridiculous.
– Speaking of TV shows I’ve never seen, Flash executive producer Gabrielle Stanton told TV Line that last season’s Big Bad Harrison Wells will make a reappearance in some fashion for the second season. Considering he was all over space and time, it’s likely a past version of Harrison may show up or even a future version. Maybe he’ll get a lab coat and an addiction to alcohol so he can join his cowardly grandson on interdimensional adventures. God, I hope it’s that last one.
– The light-hearted horror film The Goonies is going to be a musical because everything’s a musical now. My ass is a musical. My ass is a musical and it’s nominated for a Tony Award in sound design.
– Fausto De Martini, a concept artist for Tobias Fünke’s Fant4stic posted some designs for HERBIE on his Facebook. The main takeaway from this news is that HERBIE was going to be in Fant4stic and he was going to look exactly like Ball Droid from that Star Wars trailer. Maybe HERBIE was supposed to be played by a specific actor. Like the real BB-8.
– Mark Millar is holding an auction where whichever comic shops pre-orders the most copies of the first volume of “Jupiter’s Circle” will get to have Millar sign at the store. He will also call everyone in a square mile of your store the c-word, successfully pitch a Hollywood film during his cigarette break, and rig your womb to collapse before he leaves. Doesn’t matter if you have one or not. Mark Millar loves trapping wombs and will not be stopped.
